Become an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Crown Heights, providing valuable services in the education sector. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90 to $120 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and other areas of occupational performance.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to address students’ functional needs and support their participation in educational activities.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students’ motor coordination, sensory regulation, self-care skills, and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other educational professionals to promote student success and inclusion in the classroom.
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small-group settings, as well as consultative services to teachers and staff.
• Monitor students’ progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
• Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in occupational therapy and special education.

Qualifications:

• New York State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Experience working with children and adolescents with diverse needs and abilities, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles, assessments, and interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and educational goals.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to special education and occupational therapy services.
