Large female-based office seeking a professional HR Director to join our team. The HR Director will gradually take on leadership of the HR department, ensuring the effective implementation and execution of HR processes. The HR Director will work closely with senior management and employees to foster clear communication and collaboration. Additionally, the HR Director will serve as an advocate for employees and collaborate with the payroll department. We are looking for a highly respected professional with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of HR practices. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and take initiative. They should be proactive and committed to fostering collaboration, with a genuine interest in the overall success of the organization. This is a full time/part time position based in Williamsburg with a competitive pay offer of 100k-130k per year.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective collaboration and coordination among all departments.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to research and implement an effective time and 
  • attendance system.
  • Develop efficient systems for handling vacation and time-off requests, when initiated 
  • arrange with employees and managers per company policies
  • Proactively manage maternity and wedding leaves, arranging coverage when necessary.
  • Work with management on establishing processes to implement company policies,
  • Set up and maintain comprehensive company records for all employees, and hold 
  • employees accountable as per company regulations.
  • Talent Management:
  • Recruit top talent in collaboration with all departments.
  • Conduct interviews and reference checks.
  • Onboard new employees and arrange training sessions.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires and follow up on their progress.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and manage employee layoffs following company 
  • policies
  • Consistent check-ins and reporting with all managers and Team Leaders, in collaboration 
  • with senior management.
  • When applicable, act as a liaison between front-line employees and management
