Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Linden, NJ, is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join their team. This position offers a competitive salary between $70K and $110K, depending on the candidate’s experience. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, overseeing the procurement of materials, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing processes for materials and supplies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure the best deals.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Track and report on purchasing metrics, including cost and inventory levels.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
